Hihii! My name is Rachel, a designer and illustrator based in the United States. If you come from my socials or are new, warm welcomes! You might be wondering what 'rldc' stands for, so simply stated, it's my initials! You can find me on most platforms via 'rldc_art' as my primary handle :)
My specialty is illustration, using it in my design work and in character illustration. For design, I love minimalism, expression, and cuteness. This can be seen in designs like Bubz and Circle Japan. With character illustration, my style leans into semi-realism blending with anime-like features. I typically illustrate my favorite characters from various shows and games I enjoy!
As a general art fanatic, I love the creation and consumption of all mediums. Personally, I'm a jack of all trades, so I've tried many forms of creativity. Outside of my profession, I've also tried photography, film, video editing, painting, animation and motion graphics. In my free time, I love finding new videos and art from other creators! I've also ran my own Etsy shop, art is spicy, for a brief time from 2020-2021 selling anime-inspired stickers :) I really enjoyed selling merchandise, so this could be an endeavor that I pursue once again later on along my career path.

As mentioned above, I go by 'rldc' on all my socials and use this character persona (sona) to represent me online :) I thought of my sona impulsively, but it resonated with me a lot at the time. My sona made its first apperance in an Instagram reels venting about the struggles of a student during finals: low energy, hungry, and very sleep deprived. My sona was the embodiment of a typical college student going through life.
My sona has since developed to be more atune to my personality, a little silly introvert who is somehow always lowkey and chill (+ a tad bit tired). Someone who is there to vibe with others, make jokes, and have a good time.
